Crisis Crisis is it Final

Final Crisis is a comic book limited series to be published by DC Comics, in 2008, directly following the conclusion of the 52-issue Countdown to Final Crisis. It is to be written by Grant Morrison and illustrated by J.G. Jones in eight oversized issues with the first issue being co-written with Geoff Johns. Is this the chance for DC to finally get some continuity. When you have a story line that spans since 1939 it takes A FINAL CRISIS MAY 2008 to make sense out of it. As much as I like Marvel it will be interesting to see what direction Morrison and Johns travel. The theme is "Heroes Die Legends Live Forever". You can bet we will be commenting on that loud and clear starting in May. Stay tuned comic faithful for MORE.  Walt

I don't EVEN know what to say about this another crisis in the DC universe imagine that. Maybe they will get it right this time. 2 years in the making from 52 to Countdown to Final Crisis and the regular series from Grant Morrison starting in May. This is very confusing don't think people like complicated story line maybe Morrison can bring us closer on the many attempts by DC to get it right. Need to show some creative work to get my vote. I have a wait and see attitude.

I'm really hoping that Final Crisis is, in fact, final. We've had several years of flux that's taken a well-ordered universe, albeit one which is way too dark, and created an amorphous mish-mash of realities. It was roughly twenty years between Crisis On Infinite Earths and Identity Crisis. Since Identity Crisis it's been a headlong rush from crisis to crisis.

I believe it's getting past time for some closure. What I want to see coming out of Final Crisis is a well-ordered universe that can be used as a good sandbox for telling stories. After several years of flux, it's getting tiring to try and keep track of who's who and what's what. I think DC is at the point of diminishing returns with the whole "Crisis" concept. It's time to wrap this up and move on to other kinds of stories.

If they want to do another cosmic redefinition, how about putting it on the schedule for, roughly, 2028?
